Ms. MKA Ariyaratne, Lecturer (Probationary) at the Department of Computer Science, received her PhD in Computer Science from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura for her thesis titled “Firefly Algorithm Based Self-Tuning Algorithm to Solve Systems of Nonlinear Equations” on the date of 30th of November 2018. Her PhD research was supervised by Dr. TGI Fernando (Dept. of Computer Science) and Retired Senior Professor Sunethra Weerakoon (Department of Mathematics).
